For performers, artists & those in the public eye

Somewhere you don’t have to perform.

An invitation, for those whose work asks a great deal of them.

I regularly work with performers, artists, musicians, those in high-stress positions and those living in the public eye, and I am attuned to the differences this work might entail.

Discretion is a given. So is my understanding that your schedule may be unpredictable, that sessions may need to happen online or at unusual times, and that some of what you carry cannot easily be explained to people outside your world.

Creative work

The vulnerability of making things, the cycles of inspiration and drought, and the strange intimacy of being judged on something that came from inside you.

Visibility

Being seen by many and known by few. The gap between a public self and a private one, and the tiredness of holding both.

High-stress environments

Long hours, irregular schedules, touring, deadlines, and decisions where a great deal rests on you.

Public life

Scrutiny, commentary, and the loss of ordinary anonymity — for you, and often for those close to you.

The craft itself

Work that meets the work

Alongside whatever else you bring, sessions can turn directly to the practice of your craft — not in general therapy terms, but in the specific places it catches:

  • Presence — being fully there when it counts
  • Creative blocks and long dry spells
  • Self-judgment and the inner critic
  • Pressure before and after performance
  • Consistency across demanding schedules
  • Life between projects, tours or seasons

Rest is part of the work.
