About
Dr Shahbaz N. Malik
Clinical psychologist.
I’m Dr Shahbaz N. Malik, a clinical psychologist. I have trained and worked across a wide range of specialist services, and I try to bring that breadth quietly into each conversation.
Confidentiality is foundational to my practice. I want you to have space to speak openly, knowing that your privacy is treated with care from the first conversation.
I keep a deliberately limited caseload so there is time and attention for the people who come to see me.

Particular interests
Men’s mental health, and creative lives
I have a particular interest in men’s mental health, and have contributed to work in this area within the British Psychological Society, including presentations at the Male Psychology Society Conference.
I also work with people in creative and high-visibility roles — performers, artists, musicians, and those whose work places them under pressure or in public view.
Approach
I aim to be steady, honest and unhurried. In my experience, change rarely comes from being pushed — it tends to come from being understood, and from seeing your own life a little more clearly.
Colleagues
I have access to a range of highly specialist colleagues. If, after an initial conversation, your needs would be better met elsewhere, I can help connect you with the right person. I do not accept incentives for onward referrals.
